On Tuesday 16.08.2016, on a study trip to Cologne, the delegation from Russia

visited the office of information of Europe Direct. This was the second time that Europe Direct received guests from the Russian federation.  The delegation`s leader (Egishe Dashtoian) and 12 students from the different Russian universities, found out about the work of the Information center in Cologne, particularly about different EU projects and the role of Europe Direct for the whole of Europe, as well as for the city of Cologne. The Russian delegation was accompanied by Mrs. Homaira Mansury (political education) and the team Europe Direct.

Mrs. Mansury explained the history of VHS in Cologne for the guests and also about the wide range of various courses offered by VHS for all interested participants. Then she led the visitors through the buildings of VHS and showed an open learning place, where she could answer all the questions. Afterwards in the lecture, the  team from Europe Direct gave a presentation on the work of information center in the city  and region Cologne/Bonn, in particular, on the work, partnerships and network of Europe Direct. The Russian delegation showed an interest in this presentation. During the presentation, students put forward many questions regarding subjects all around Europe, on the subject of continuing education in the european countries, as well as on the work of the european institutions and facilities.
